Athens and the anger
On June 28, a protest rally began in front of the parliament in the Greek capital, Athens, on Syntagma Square, as part of another strike against the government and the new restrictive measures that the parliament will vote on. The whole country is locked down, almost nothing works, and journalists are boycotting the work of the parliament and the events in the streets. Therefore, if you were on vacation in Greece at that time, you would not know even from the televisions that the center of the capital looks like a battlefield.
In the morning at Syntagma, songs are sung and anti-government slogans are chanted, but everyone is aware of what will happen soon. The appearance of the anarchists and the start of the chase with the police, the pogrom and the street riots are expected. We don't have to wait long - after nearly two hours, the first explosions of tear gas grenades are heard.
